Blackout
"Yeah! I'm totally stoked that they're gonna be playing at the League's opening! I mean, this is a dream come true! I'm their biggest fan. I am so gonna get their autographs, and- Are you sure that's safe?" Flint asked, noticing what Volkner, his friend who wasn't even listening, was doing.
He was renovating the gym like he has for the past few weeks and was toying with some of the mechanics of the rotating systems for the interior.
"Yeah," the blonde replied mindlessly, and tweaked something with a wrench that sent the mechanics spinning.
Unfortunately for Flint, he was standing on one of the platforms and was spinning around very fast.
"Oh, it does work," Volkner commented, watching his friend spin around and around.
"Volk I think I'm gonna be sick, hurry up and work on stopping this thing!" Flint groaned, holding onto the rails.
Volkner walked over again and tweaked something else to make the platform jerk to a halt, throwing Flint and having him land on his bottom.
"Ow," he groaned again, getting up and rubbing where he landed, but then began laughing, "That was tight, bro! We should do that again sometime- BUTNOTNOW!" he shouted before Volkner was able to send his friend spinning again.
"Alright, suit yourself. Now, let's test these buttons… Flint, step on that one twice," Volkner said, pointing to a green button on the floor.
Flint approached it carefully and tapped it once with the endge of his sandal, sending him on a small turn and stopping.
"Okay, try it again," Volkner nodded.
"Alrighty," Flint said, a little more sure this time and stepped on it, but then the platform spun around four times and ended where it began.
"Weird!" the redhead marveled.
Flint saw Volkner's frustration, and then he heard it in mumbles as he walked over. Flint jumped down from his spot next to Volkner, wanting to see the problem.
"What's wrong now?" Volkner asked his machines, and was about to try turning something, but a loud whirring noise rang through the gym and slowed as the lights from the entrance of the room to the back shut off.
"Woah! Also weird! Was that a-"
"Agh!" Volkner groaned, throwing down his wrench as some emergency power in the gym came on, unfortunately, it was in an eerie orange.
"Blackout…" flint finished, and rushed after his friend to see what was happening...
