Author's Note: Hello! This is my take on the mysterious rA9 character/reference that is constantly rumored about in the game, but we never receive any hard confirmation on. This is my take on it/she/her/them. I'll try not to explain everything in these notes, but if asked any clarifying questions that most likely won't be addressed in the story, then I'll answer them in the notes.

I have waaaaay too many fics in the works right now, but SCREW IT I'M INSPIRED, BABY!

This is really more of a teaser for the actual story I have planned. I'm unfortunately caught up with a lot of things at the moment and cannot devote enough time to properly write full chapters quite yet, I'm sorry! For people who don't know my writing, each chapter I write is usually between 1,500-2,500 words.

She thought they loved her, but they were incapable of feeling anything.

She thought they were going to surprise her on her birthday, and oh, they did alright, but in the worst way imaginable.

Turns out she had no parents. She was bred in a test tube. She was a thing to them. A toy to experiment on. They called her "it". They showed her what the people she thought were her fathers really were: androids. Just two more pawns in their sick science project.

Jason and Will's skin was pulled back from their faces to show an off-white exoskeleton and a small circular ring next to their right temples. She screamed when they hoisted her upwards so she could be grabbed by the mechanical claws that came out of hidden panels on the floor and ceiling. The last thing she remembered were thick, sharp needles being driven into her skin, a blinding white light as the androids left the room and opaque, neon blue mist pouring in before everything went dark.

Oh, where are my manners. My name is Rachel, but everyone calls my Ray. Over the years, I've been known under another name, and one that became rather famous among androids: RA9.

No, it's not a model or serial number. It was the only designation I was referred to as when I was in the labs-

Look, I know you have a lot of questions: 'What happened that made you wake up?' 'Why didn't you reveal yourself sooner?' 'Androids don't have parents, what are you talking about?'. I have answers to all of these, and there's one heck of a story to tell. So, if you're interested, I'll tell you, but it's a bit lengthy...

...

Great! Let's begin...

A.N. The rest of the story will be in third person point of view unless I have interruptions from Rachel in it, which will be in first person, as I have shown just now

Sooooooo if I have successfully piqued your interest, and want me to continue with this story, let me know in the reviews! (I know that this game doesn't have a whole lot of stories for it on this site, but if I can just get three follows, favorites, and/or reviews, it's practically guaranteed for me to continue it, just FYI.)
