A short poem inspired on the Raoul/Christine, Marius/Cossette relationship. The characters don't belong to me. The poetry is mine.
"Perfect together"
. . .they were light itself
They were perfect together;
Porcelain and alabaster;
Soft snow, softer cotton;
White blossoms of the spring.
They were perfect together:
A Princess and Prince Charming,
White swan, whiter dove,
azucena and jasmine. . .
They were so bright and clear;
The purest drops of water;
They were the same, alike
Like twin sister and brother. . .
But they forgot the truth as they walked through life:
"Only your opposite can be your other half"
azucena: the Spanish name of the white lily. It's usually associated with purity and innocence.
