Six months had passed since they lost their kids. The Captain still refused to believe they were dead, and at this point, not even First Officer Spock could hold him. Captain Kirk hadn't let them go and eventually he began to use the simulator to strengthen his own illusions, and it had worked. Our First Officer had a rough time getting the Captain out of the simulator, reminding him of his own health. Though the Captain always returned to the illusion.

About a year after that... We began to notice changes in Ji-.. The Captain, not just the mental changes, but even his physical state had worsened. He grew bags under his eyes, he thinned out terribly. Lieutenant Uhurha tried to assist Commander Spock, but he always thanked her, turned her down, and continued to take care of Captain Kirk on his own.

It wasn't long until Commander Spock had grew weary of the challenge and insistent refusals. As a result we lost our first officer. His person was added to the simulator along with the children. Because of this the Captain had stepped out of the simulation and searched for the body. The body was in my office being cleaned and prepared for funeral services. The Captain looked at me with grief ridden eyes and ran to his quarters. It was then I heard a shot of a phaser and I too ran, to his quarters. I discovered his body on the floor of his bedroom, the entry was through his... His... His mouth. The exit came the back of his head. Our crew lost two great men... And some wonderful brats... The Captain's person was also entered into the simulator, so as to keep their family together and their memory with us... That is my report.
