"So," Han started casually as he and Leia walked back to the Falcon after dropping Lando off in Cloud City, "Marry me?"
Leia paused and gaped up at him.
"That's it?" she asked, her dark eyes full of incredulity at such an off-handed proposal.
"What?" Han asked.
"You don't have a romantic bone in your body, do you, laser-brain?"
"Nope," he replied, "You should be impressed I'm proposing marriage at all."
"Try again."
Han heaved a mighty sigh. "Fine, your worship. I love you. Now will you marry me?"
She rolled her eyes at him, but the smile pulling at the corners of her mouth betrayed her feelings. "Okay, hotshot," she responded.
He felt a smile growing on his own face as he bent down to kiss his fiancée. He'd kissed many women in his lifetime, but, wow, kissing Leia was exceptional. He began doing a slow, leisurely exploration of her mouth before picking up urgency.
"Get a room!" Lando Calrissian's voice rang out.
Han stole one last quick kiss before pulling away. He and Leia smirked at each other before joining hands and boarding the Falcon. Perhaps there the couple could do something a bit more intimate to celebrate their new engagement.
