A man carries such dark feelings,

a time in his past that makes

him feel so conflicted, feeling

happy that he could protect his

comrades like he should, anger

at being forced to make the

choice between master and comrades,

at the group that gave him that

horrible choice and sorrow at the

act of killing his master especially

in front of his comrades, especially

at his master's last words of thanks

to him, that moment has forever

haunted him, following him even

as his comrades went their separate

ways, he wanted to be alone but

somehow ended up picking up that

load again when he met Shinpachi,

Otae and Kagura, despite his pain

and sorrow, he's never given into

the anger like Takasugi did, he

could have given into the rage,

sought after the ones who forced him

into that moment but he found

the strength to follow Shoyou's teachings,

to find love and compassion even

as he suffered and tried to drink his

sorrow away, his sorrow won't disappear

but his love, compassion and strength

will loom stronger as long as he has

hope with Kagura, Shinpachi and his

family of Kabuki-chou, Gintoki's sorrow

won't take him over as long as he

never gives into that sorrow.
