A Farm Girl's Diary

Author's Note: Ahem, ahem, ahem. I, being sound of mind, body, spirit, uhh…etc., do present this thingymabobber. Diary type thing. All your base are belong to us!

Dear Diary,

Well, today's this special day! I'm finally 21! My friends threw me a little party…which happened to consist of 30 people. Little, pshaw! But afterwards, my apartment was a huge mess. I mean, it was a bit messy before, you know, bed unmade, a few smudges here and there, but man! It looked like a tornado hit it and I mean it literally.

If that rotten landlord comes for rent, ergh! I am seriously going to have to kill him. I don't have enough money, not even close. At the 4$ an hour I get at my job, this minuscule apartment is all that I can afford. I can't move back home either. My parents expect 'great things' of me. Well, I bet that they didn't expect those 'great things' to be flipping burgers at Finer Diner.

My dog, Max, and I are getting desperate. How can I prove my parents wrong, that one of those 'great things' might come true someday? I can't live on my measly wages forever. And I have to stop throwing parties ever nanosecond, since my phone is ringing off the hook all the time. That'll be a sacrifice on my part, but still…

What should I do? What's more, what can I do? I just hope that an opportunity will knock…hopefully soon…
