Prologue
Titans, a race of giant humanoids that were thought to have first appeared 107 years prior to year 845 and rapidly exterminated humanity to the point of near-extinction. They are transformed humans known as the Subjects of Ymir and have existed for nearly 2,000 years. All Titans are originally humans of a race of people called the Subjects of Ymir. Ymir was the first Titan, gaining the power of the Titans after locating the "source of all living matter", although Marley claims she made a contract with the Devil. Over 1,800 years ago, Ymir Fritz discovered the "source of all organic material", or made a deal with the Devil, and gained the power of the Titans.
After she died 13 years later, her "soul" was split and passed down unto nine inheritors, or at least everyone thought it was nine. The nine known Titan powers are The Founding Titan, The Colossal Titan, The Armored Titan, The Female Titan, The Jaws Titan, The Attack Titan, The Beast Titan, The Cart Titan, and The War Hammer Titan. When Ymir's "soul" was split it was passed down to ten inheritors, but everyone thought it was nine. The tenth titan power was lost for centuries until it finally found an inheritor.
A young boy originally from Marley, but left and fled to Eldia at the age of eight. He soon found out he had the power to transform and soon enough, he had mastered the ability. He is the only one who knows that he can transform into a titan, nobody ever thought that there could be more than nine Titan powers. Arriving at Wall Maria, he used his titan ability to get inside the walls. After sneaking in, he came across a small village. Knowing that they would ask where he came from, he made up a story. Since he had sly personality, his story was very believable.
He was able to live in that village for about 3 years, but then Wall Maria was breached when the Colossal and Armored Titan destroyed the gates of Shiganshina district. Luckily, most of his village was able to retreat into Wall Rose. For a few weeks, he was a refugee struggling to survive off the low rations of food and water. He thought living with the people inside the walls was dangerous, he also didn't want to go to a foster home. So, before order was restored, he escaped Wall Rose and fled to the "Forest of Giant Trees". Since then, he has been living in the forest while evading titans and soldiers. He thought this was how he was going to spend the rest of his life, but little did he know that his life was about to change in a big way.
