Prompt #7 (Location) Blossom House

"So can you seriously tell me why we are here?" Polly looked sideways into her older brother's profile.

Chic shrugged. "I have been away for a while. Can't a guy be homesick for his home town?"

"Not this part of your home town brother dear." Polly turned fully to look Chic straight in the eyes. "Out with it Chic Cooper!"

The oldest Cooper sibling sighed deeply as he jammed his hands deep in his stone washed jeans. "You spent plenty of time behind those closed doors in the past two years Pol." He glared right back into his slightly younger sister's eyes. "Hell you spent plenty of time naked behind those doors. Not just in Jason's bed."

Tears sparkled in Polly's eyes at the mention of her dead boyfriend and the father of her babies.

"Jason Blossom! Really there aren't any other guy in Riverdale you could be whoring around with …. it had to be fucking Jason Blossom!" Chic's harsh voice rose a little higher …. but still not high enough for anyone beyond the wall of the Blossom estate could hear. He knew he went way to fall at the look in his sister's eyes. "I'm sorry Polly. I am just filled with a lot of anger and regret that I took it out on you." He shook his head. "I shouldn't have used 'whoring' as a adverb when I'm talking about you."

Polly took in a long shaky hard breath. Her chest hurt. "I loved him Chic." She whispered through her silent cheers. "Why did he have to die?" She looked up into her big brother's compassionate eyes. "Why did he have to die when he was set on getting his life back on track."

Chic thought that even through he didn't like Jason Blossom he still didn't wish his death on him. Not the manner of the he died. Chic wouldn't wish the murder on even his worst enemy. He sighed deeply. "I'm sorry I wasn't here when you found everything out sis."

Crossing her arms around her waist. "Not like you could have stopped mom and dad from shipping off to the Sister's of Quiet Mercy once I told them that I was pregnant. Not just pregnant but with a Blossom baby." Her lips quirked. "You could just image what expressions were on their faces once that truth hit them."

"I don't need to image." Chic sighed deeply. "I wasn't there for when Betty arrived home from LA and they told her what they did to you."

Polly's eyes grew hard. "They didn't tell her one damn thing. All they said was that they shipped me away because I was too unstable to live in the house any longer."

Raw anger rose in Chic's heart. "Mom had more of a power play on Betty's emotional state after that." His hands clenched inside his jeans pockets.

Polly nodded as she turned back to look at the Blossom estate behind the walls.
