Off with His Beard!
Inspired by a comment by my roommate that all the guys need a shave after seeing AXM #24. This is only troublesome to two of the men since Peter and Scott are the only ones with girlfriends that might object to a three day growth of beard.
"Wow, that was close," Kitty commented as the debris from the bullet drifted into the orbit of Saturn. Peter had his arm around her waist and pulled her close, all too aware of how close he had come to losing her.
They heard a sudden high-pitched squeal behind them, "Scott, don't expect much tonight until you shave!" Rusty laughter seemed come from the group as Emma turned a stern eye on Peter, "I'm sure Kitty would agree with me Peter. So, don't laugh too hard."
Peter reached forward to test her theory, Kitty found herself squealing herself and phasing through his arm to get away. Logan laughed, "I guess it's just as well we don't have anyone to test ours on, Hank." He turned to the group of heroes who had joined them in their last ditch effort to stop Kruun's plans, "Unless there are any volunteers?"
As a group they took a step back, men and women. Kurt laughed, "Don't think so, Logan. I will gladly volunteer if you feel in need of a drink."
Logan looked around, the team was bone tired and showing it, "Maybe tomorrow, Elf, maybe tomorrow." Logan spent the rest of the night terrorizing the students by threatening to hug them with a face full of shaving cream.
That last part was also inspired by my roomie. He used to chase his mom around the house like that.
