AN: My second shot at Pop'n Music, but the first where they are actually in character.

Uno had been the first one recruited by Wilhelm.
By the time the twins were brought to this boarding house of sorts, Uno had recovered from his injury and was very much mobile. Even if, in this place, it was nothing more than a week's difference, it was enough for Uno to have selected the best room for himself.
After Wilhelm's, it was the largest –with huge bay windows and a closet you could walk into.
But, most importantly, the lock worked. Koku made it a habit to tamper with all the door locks; so that he was free to go in and out wherever and whenever he wished.
He stopped going after Wilhelm very shortly after it had been made clear that this wouldn't go unpunished. Everyone else was fair game.
Uno was just one of the few observant and fast enough to change the lock to keep his space private. This made his the room to get into if you wanted to be left alone. And no one was better at worming their way in than Goku.
As long as he was relatively quiet, he was allowed in. This was difficult, though, considering how many interesting things there were in Uno's room.
Goku's eyes couldn't help but wander. Uno was just lounging on his bed reading –and had the nerve to pick something Spanish so that there was no chance of reading over his shoulder. He wasn't being interesting at all, which was incredibly annoying.
His gaze finally landed on the dresser.
"What's that?"
"What's what?"
Goku left the bed and made his way across the room. He picked up what he now realized to be a black hat of sorts, and looked it over with wide, excited eyes.
Uno glanced up dully, "It's a montera, matadors wear it in a fight." He went back to his book, "Put it down, you'll get it dirty."
Goku ran his hands over the felt gently, "Can I wear it?"
Uno's eyes narrowed, "I worked my entire life to get it, no you can't just…"
Goku put it on anyway. He ignored another order to put it back as he tilted his head in the mirror for the full effect. He finally turned and smiled.
"I like it. Can you get me one?"
"No."
"Can I have this…?"
"No."
"But you have…"
"No."
Goku tilted his head, "You're mean, Uno-kun." He sat down roughly on the bed. It bounced, causing the book to jostle in Uno's hands.
Uno sighed and looked over, "You look terrible in that."
"Do not." He leaned back and let the montera rest against the taller man's cheek.
Uno adjusted it, "You wear it like this."
Goku leaned forward to see himself in the mirror. "Now it looks bad."
Uno chuckled as he opened the book again, "Women like it."
"Serious?"
"Yeah."
"… Crazy."
Uno shrugged, "Whatever you want to think."
Goku sat for a moment as the room went silent aside from the occasional flip of a page. It was only a short while before he was bored again, and let his gaze wander. There was the radio he'd already played with, there was the closet with more than a few uniforms that were fun to look at but would earn him a severe scolding, there were the tiny glass figurines of matadors he'd seen a million times now…
He looked back at Uno –his eyes not hesitating to look at Goku as they moved across the page. With a quick movement, he exchanged hats with Uno. Uno glanced over, brow raised, as Goku adjusted the montera as he'd been shown and looked him over critically.
"It's better on you," he finally decided with a nod.
"Thanks. I think so, too."
Goku leaned against him again, letting the brim of the fedora bend just slightly against Uno's shoulder.
"Can I have this one?"
"Do you want to be kicked out of my room?" Uno flipped a page. "It sounds like Koku is angry about something, again."
"…. You're mean, Uno-kun."
"I know."
