Wah! Wahhhhhhhhh!

That was what Courtney was woken up to every night for the past 2 weeks. Courtney groaned and turned around to face her clock. It was 4:17am and she was tired. She read in several baby books that at times it's okay to allow your baby to cry and ignore them, however Courtney was finding it hard to ignore her baby. Courtney ended up sleeping with Chris and got pregnant and they ended up together but Chris wasn't exactly helpful when it came to taking care of the baby. Courtney was getting annoyed with him not helping her.

"Chris..." Courtney nudged him. "Wake up and go see what he wants."

"Why can't you?" Chris yawned. "I'm tired."

"I'm tired too..." Courtney sighed and got up. "One of us has to do it."

"You should go and do it then." Chris yawned. "I'm tired."

"Do you think I'm not?" Courtney asked him. "Why do I always have to go in there? You never even go with me."

"What's the point?" Chris finally sat up in his bed. "If you're going why should I go? I don't see why we both need to go, if you're getting up then I should be able to sleep."

"C'mon." Courtney pulled on his shirt. "You're coming with me."

"Fine." Chris rolled his eyes and got out of bed. The two were tired and slowly made their way down the hallway getting closer and closer to the sound of the crying. Once they got to the end of the hallway, Courtney opened the door to see her son crying. Courtney quickly ran over to the crib and picked her son up.

"Ethan, don't cry." Courtney tried to calm him down. "It's okay. Mommy's here."

"Yeah, because holding him really worked." Chris yawned. Courtney glared at him. "What?"

"Obviously something is wrong." Courtney checked Ethan's diaper. "He's not wet."

"Great." Chris leaned in the doorway "Let's go back to sleep."

"I'm going to get him a bottle." Courtney stood up and placed Ethan in Chris's arms. "Take him until I get back."

"You're leaving me alone...with him?" Chris looked down at the baby who was still crying. "Can't you just take him with you?"

"No." Courtney laughed.

"What am I supposed to do with him while you're gone?" Chris asked. "You're coming back right?"

"Just go sit in the chair with him." Courtney rolled her eyes. "Talk to him or something. Just stop being so dramatic about it."

Courtney wandered off leaving Chris there alone for pretty much the first time with their son. Chris wasn't even sure he was holding him right. However when Chris sat down Ethan stopped crying.

"There we go. That's better." Chris smirked. "It's okay. Your Mommy is coming back soon and then you can hopefully go back to sleep."

Chris didn't know what else to do so he just continued rocking him until Courtney came back. She seemed surprised with how quiet it was.

"What did you do?" Courtney glared at Chris as she walked in the room with a bottle in her hand.

"Nothing." Chris leaned back in the chair. "He just stopped."

"Give him to me." Courtney reached her arms out to hold the baby who started crying again. "Ethan, why are you crying again? Chris, I think he wants you. Hold him again."

Chris sighed and took Ethan back and gestured for her to hand him the bottle. Instantly Ethan stopped crying and Courtney just stood there looking amazed.

"What?" Chris smirked. "You didn't think I could do it?"

"I didn't think you would." Courtney smirked.

"He's my son too." Chris looked down at his son. "Why don't you go back to bed? I'm fine here."

Courtney smiled and walked back to the bedroom. For the first time in 2 weeks she felt content with going back to sleep.

I am finding this hard to believe. I had a very hard time writing this. Chrisney with a baby is strangely difficult to write. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
