In the darkness, all you have to fear is solitude and shadows.
Being alone, in this prison was slowly killing Sasuke, he was sure of it.
All by himself, the only thing to chase away the shadows was to think about the past.
He didn't think about Itachi, or his family, not blood nor the murders…
He thought about Naruto.
It was so bright, the flashbacks of his times with the boy, they blinded him, he was so used to the darkness by now.
Naruto had been amazing, he always made everything better.
And the more the youngest Uchiha thought about it, the more he realized how unstable he was becoming…and how much the blonde had made the ground he walked on stable.
He missed him.
He had been his best friend.
And he missed that.
He never thought he would, but he missed someone caring for him.
In his solitude, the dark made him think of himself, and his feelings.
Hatred, the need for vengeance, the foreign feelings he had for the blonde.
The shadows didn't judge, there was no one there to tell him the feelings were sick or wrong.
So all by himself, Sasuke slowly found himself realizing he loved the blonde troublemaker.
There was nothing wrong with loving someone.
All of his thoughts were of Naruto.
The boy consumed his mind, until he missed him so much it began to hurt.
Naruto replaced thoughts of power, of vengeance.
And he wished he never traded the boy for this chance.
'I want to go home.'
'I want to see Naruto.'
'I want to see his smile one more time.'
And the youngest Uchiha wondered how the boy was.
Was he alright?
Was everyone being nice to him?
Was he sleeping right now? Stuffing his face with ramen?
'Whose going to buy his ramen?'
'I need to see his face…'

Plans of escape formulated in his mind, he had to leave.
Soon the Uchiha began to panic. He hadn't seen the blonde since the day they made their promise.
That's when the news came.
"He's gone." Kabuto said, smirking.
"What?"
"That's all I know" the silver haired man said.
"NO! You know what happened! Tell me!!" the raven shouted.
"He's gone, it's a simple as that." he answered, "What's wrong Uchiha? Miss him already?"

"Where are you going!?" Kabuto shouted at the boy who now held his sword.
