Chapter 1- Five
"Hey Tohru!" Kyo called. Little Tohru turned her head to see her orange-haired best friend standing across the street.
"Kyo!" She called. The cat looked left, then right, then ran across the road.
"Tohru! How are you?" He asked. She jumped to her feet and hugged him.
Poof.
He turned into a kitten. Tohru started crying, "Kyo! I'm so sorry! I forgot!"
Kitten Kyo shook his fur, "Uh. Never mind. I forgot too."
Tohru picked up the ginger furred cat in one hand and his clothes in the other. Kyo climbed up and dug his tiny claws into Tohru's shoulder. Tohru carried him around the corner to a nearby alley. Poof. He turned back to being a human. Tohru squeaked and threw his pants at him.
"Thanks." He mumbled and pulled them on, "Can I have my shirt?" He held out his hand. Tohru passed him his t-shirt and he pulled it over his head. His arm went through the head hole.
"Erm… I'm stuck." Kyo's hair was ruffled all over the place and only one eye could see out.
Tohru giggled slightly, "Oh Kyo!" She pushed his arm back through the shirt and pulled it through the sleeve.
When Kyo was free from the trap that was his shirt, he went pink.
"Maybe look where you're putting your arms." Tohru smiled.
Kyo crossed his arms and glared at the ground, "It's a confusing shirt." Tohru bounced over to him, "Naw… I was just joking." "Nah. S'okay." Kyo tussled her hair. She grinned. "Come on. I'll take you home. It's been ages since I've seen Kyoko." Kyo smiled and took Tohru's hand. He ran with her to her house.
Kyoko was outside.
"Hey Tohru!" She ran over and scooped up her daughter. Then she saw Kyo.
"Hi Rascal!" She smiled at Kyo. He grinned, "Hi."
"Do you want to come inside? Have something to eat?" Kyoko asked.
Kyo nodded, "Okay!" He bounded inside, Tohru running after him, "Wait up Kyo!"
Kyo smiled over his shoulder, "Come catch me!" Tohru tripped over a book.
"Tohru!" Kyo squeaked. He turned around and ran back to her. She sat up, rubbing her knee, "My knee hurts." Tears sprang to her eyes.
Kyo looked at her knee, "You're bleeding." He got up.
"I'll be right back! I'm going to get your mum!" Kyo shot off like a bullet and practically collided with Kyoko.
He was almost crying, "Tohru fell over and she's bleeding!"
Kyoko took Kyo's hand and he led her to Tohru, who was sitting on the ground still. "Oh Tohru." Kyoko turned to Kyo, "Okay Rascal, there's a First Aid Kit in the cabinet under the sink."
Kyo nodded and ran to the kitchen. He pulled open the cabinet and searched for the white box.
When his hands encountered the plastic, he pulled it out. Yes. It was the First Aid Kit.
He ran back to the lounge room and passed the box the Kyoko. She put a dressing on Tohru's knee.
"Tohru! Are you okay?!" Kyo knelt down next to his best friend. The only one who accepted him, besides Master.
Tohru leaned on Kyo's shoulder, and nodded.
Kyoko smiled to herself.
