In a world where Ron Weasley gets sorted in Slytherin he faces not only rejection from his family but from his house. What lengths will he go to seek approval from those who he sees as new friends and what will enquire the consequences of his actions? Ronald Weasley had recently befriended the famous Harry Potter on the train. Harry had been sorted into the house Gryfinndor where he was instructed by his father to be sorted into that house.

It was a huge honour for the Weasley family to be sorted into the Gryfinndor house and he would be a disgrace of the family if he was sorted elsewhere.

The next name was called out: "Ronald Weasley!"

Ronald Weasley sat upon the rough chair, when Mrs Mongongal managed to put the sorting hat upon his head. Ronald Weasley waited for the hat to talked, eagerly waiting for the hat to sort him into Gryfinndor but instead he heard a voice murmur into his ears.

"You want Gyffindor eh, but I am not sure whether that is the correct place to put you, you may be brave but there is... thirst, an inner drive to better yourself, be successful and make your family proud."

"I will not become an evil death eater because some stupid hat said so" Ron whispered definitely and he remembered his parents warning.

Ron remembered all his time about his family going back to when he was young, he didn't want to let them down but deep inside there was a will to succeed where they failed and to get rid of the humiliation of having handmedown robes and wand.

"Are you sure not Slytherin, eh? You could be great there, you know. It's all in your head. And Slytherin will help you on your way to success and greatness. There is no doubt about it."

Ron was confused about it. He wanted to be great and successful but he wasn't too sure. He was hesitant about accepting it but he wasn't sure Slytherin was evil or not. He could feel the hat growing increasingly impatient.

The hat looked down and said "Hesistant but I'm am sure you would fit in "SLYTHERIN".

There was complete silence as nobody cheered, Percy looked completely disappointed and the twins Fred and George yelled "You fucked it up didn't you Ron" while flipping him off in a very grotesque manor while in the process of losing points. Ron sat down at the table and was greeted by Malfoy. Malfoy sneered, looking annoyed and said "Well, you fucked up didn't you. I will make sure I will make this a house a living hell for you since you were nice enough to join the house." Ron yelled "I'm going to make sure I am moved out of this bloody house!" There was a bit of silence until an older student laughed and said "Good luck with that mate, I'm not sure how you got into Slytherin but you better smarten up before something really bad happens to you."
