Chapter One: Back to Normal?
Hitomi Kanzaki gazed out her window, and sighed. Why was life so complicated? She had wanted to stay on Gaea, but she still had a life here. A boring. Amazingly dull. Senseless. Life. But that's how things are, you know? Rain droplets pattered on the window pane as Hitomi leaned against it. She was in a very sour mood. 'Van, why did you let me go?' she thought. He had let her go. With the promise to meet her again. 'It'll never happen. Just look at what happened to dad when he made that promise to you when you were, what? Four? Yeah, and he went out and got himself killed.' She had wanted to stay with Van and Meryl, and Milerna. And everyone else. They had all gotten so close.
"Hitomi? You there? Hitomi? Come on, I KNOW you're there, you can hear me! HI-TO-MI!" Meryl shouted, causing Hitomi to jump.
"What, Meryl? I was in the middle of something very important." Hitomi replied.
"Boyfriend?" Meryl asked.
"No, homework." Hitomi corrected.
"Homework?" Meryl asked her.
"Stuff from classes. They give out Tarea, or Homework, so that we have practice." Hitomi explained.
"Oh. Well, are you okay? You sound kinda sad." Meryl asked her.
"Nah, I'm fine."
"Well, why don't you come visit? It'll be fun. And hey, didn't you get in trouble for leaving your world last time with your friends, and family?" Meryl questioned.
"Well, not really. Yukari and Amano have decided to not tell anyone. My mom didn't really mind, because of my grandmother, and my brothers are okay. Mamoru and Otaku were out of town when I left, so they don't really know all the details. I told Mamoru, though." Hitomi told Meryl.
"And the people at your school?" Meryl wondered aloud.
"Oh, they all think that I went on a trip. I'm still doing make-up work, and everything." Hitomi explained. "I don't think that I'll be able to come, though. I have all sorts of things to do right now. I have school, the track team, and not to mention that my mom's out of town at the moment. She's visiting my aunt Elise."
"But that's perfect, Hitomi! Just bring your brothers along! I'm dying to meet them, the way you talk about them, and evrything. It'll only be for a week or two? Please?" Hitomi heard Meryl plead.
"I guess that'd be okay. I'll have to check with them first, though. Mamoru's in a band, and Otaku has a job, too." Hitomi said happily.
Just then, Mamoru and Otaku came in Hitomi's room.
"Hey, you guys wanna visit Gaea for a week or something?" Hitomi asked them, as Mamoru picked up his Bass guitar, and Otaku his acustic.
"Sure. When?" Mamoru asked her.
"Um, how bout tomorrow?" Hitomi wondered.
"Sure." Otaku told his sister as he strummed the strings.
"Okay, Meryl, they say okay." Hitomi told Meryl.
Mamoru and Otaku looked at their sister.
"Your friend's on the other side?" Otaku asked.
"Yeah. Let's go tomorrow, so get packing. But only one small pack each. I don't know if we'll end up outside the castle, or where we'll land, so be smart." Hitomi told them.
" 'Kay." Both boys shouted, putting down their guitars, and running to their rooms.
"Heh. Boys." Hitomi muttered, disconnecting her connection with Meryl.
