Book of Varaine:
Part V

(authors note: I appologise for my last fic. I hope that it didn't get rid of any of my readers.)

--What do I care for your suffering? Pain, even agony is nothing but information before the senses. The lesson is simple: you have received the information, now, act upon it. Take controll of the input, and you shall become master of the output--

Chapter 9
(Not narrated)

The creature leaped from building to building. His stolen Mangathean body was barely able to take the stress of his enhanced abilities. He creeped to the edge of another building and took another mighty leap. The dark energy resonating from his body obscured him from view as he moved swiftly through the afternoon air. He reached out into the continuum and sensed the presence of other temporally attuned beings on the planet. Immposible, he thought, Master Crayak said that these primitives posed no threat!
No matter, he said to himself, I will just have to dispose of them.

Chapter 10
(Marco)

And this, said Yilang,is the generater. He was motioning to a huge building.

It provides all the power needed for our city to survive, said Luarn. The building was enourmous, about the size of a ten or twenty story building. We were into the 3rd hour of their "tour". Apperantly, boardum was not a very well grounded concept in this city. They seemed positively giddy at all times. It was a tad disturbing. Inquiry was probably not well accepted on this city, either, as they had not asked one question about what our "city" was like. Good thing.Their city itself was accually pretty impressive, in that the buildings were so huge it was a surprise they had not already seen their planetary shields.

The building is quite fascinating. Would you like to see it? Dirdine asked, a little to politely.

"Um, thats alright, I think we'd like to see the rest of the city fir...wha? Cassie!" I was about to "politely" decline when Cassie suddenly collapsed. She was just standing there one minute when here eyse rolled back and she fell, and Jake was just barely able to catch her before she hit the pavement. I saw a look of pain on her face, and as her hand slowly opened, I saw that the mark on her palm was glowing a bright green. Then I saw Tobias' body spasm in pain as he fell, hand glowing. He was quickly followed by Jake, still holding Cassie, and then Rachel. Then, as I stood there, stupified and scared, I felt a wave of agony rush up from my palm and fill my whole body. Then my brain simply opened.

Evil. Evil and darkness. I felt a overwhelming wave of Evil and blackness washing over me. And amidst it, I saw a tunnel of unimmaginable dimentions. And the walls of the tunnels were moving mind boggilingly fast, with visable lines on them. And I immediatly recognised the tunnel. Ellimist had showed it to us once. It was the space-time continuum. And it was communicating with me, and probably the others. Not like it was talking to me, but it gave me the vision of evil. And now I knew why Ellimist gave us those marks. They linked us to the continuum! I found I could reach into the continuum for more information, and I was given an image of a Mangathean, but with a presence of Evil in his body. Crayak's Evil.

Immediately snapped back to conscousness, with our guides staring at me. I was followed by Cassie, then Jake, Tobias, and Rachel, who was followed followed by an enourmous explosion.

Well, at least it was better than my last one, but probably still to short.
