My Words, Our Ink

She was hypnotized by it. She couldn't take her eyes away from the blue stains and then a soft smile appeared. Oneshot.

A/N: Written for the awesome savantnicholas. :) (Orube needs a place in the WITCH's characters section.)

Orube was sitting in the open field of Sheffield's park, revelling in the warmth that the sun radiated and the way the summer breeze felt against her skin, causing her short hair to whip along with its smooth flow. The tall grass was tickling her bare feet but she didn't mind one bit and didn't even consider putting her sandals back on. Instead she grabbed the notepad and the pen which were lying next to them.

With the notepad on her lap, she rapidly moved the pen along the empty page, writing with such concentration that she couldn't even hear the children playing on the swings or the people who passed her by or even two dogs barking at each other.

Suddenly the tip of her pen broke the moment she pushed it too hard against the paper and the ink started oozing, destroying parts of her previous writings.

Quickly taking her tissue out of her jeans' pocket, she tried to salvage her story by wiping away the wet smudges. But it had no avail.

Frustrated and saddened at the same time, she fell backwards, plopping her back against the ground and rubbed her fingers against her temples to attempt to prevent a severe headache from coming. It was then that she noticed the ink was all over her fingers (and now the sides of her head) as well.

She was hypnotized by it. She couldn't take her eyes away from the blue stains and then a soft smile appeared. With her eyes closed, she softly pressed her ink covered fingertips to her puckered lips.

She could feel him.

And this gave her the courage again to continue her story.

A story, dedicated to her Cedric.
