Inspired by the recent snow we received here last night. Matt and Emily are on assignment Montana.

"Are you kidding me?" Emily asked as Matt tried to convince her to go for a walk in snow.

"No, I know how much you love it, and I want you to enjoy it tonight before we leave.

"But I'm warm, in bed, under the covers. The only thing that would make it better would be you lying here with me." Emily pleaded as Matt handed her jeans and her sweater.

"I promise when we come back in that you won't be able to keep me out of that bed with you." Matt tried, slipping his own jeans on. He pulled his t-shirt over head before tearing the covers off of Emily's body. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips, brushing her hair back behind her ears.

"It'll be worth it." He promised as he took her hands and pulled her into a sitting position.

"Fine, but when I'm freezing, you are so warming me up when we come back in." She replied as she pulled her sweater over her head. She stood and slipped her jeans on before putting on her socks and shoes.

Matt slipped on his shoes and coat and then helped Emily into hers.

He grabbed her hand and led her outside where the huge, white, wet flakes fell forming a blanket of snow. Emily sighed as she took in the sight. She loved the snow and couldn't think of a better place to spend a night walking with Matt. He held her hand tightly as they walked across the street to a small park.

Matt slipped an arm around her shoulders holding her close as they walked in the cold air. Emily talked about growing up in New York and the winters there as they strolled along. She admitted that it was one of the things she missed about living there.

Matt found a bench nearby and brushed it off so that they could sit. Emily shivered as the cold of the metal came through her jeans. Matt watched as she snuggled deeper into her coat. He slipped his arms around her as he turned to look into her eyes.

"Emily, you know I love you right?" He began taking both of her hands in his.

"Yes. I love you too." Emily replied, noticing the tears forming in his eyes.

She held her breath wondering what was going to come next as she watched him struggle to say what he was feeling.

"You took me by surprise. I never thought I'd feel this way about a woman. I was never one who wanted marriage and a family. I liked being a bachelor playing the field. Then you came along and upset my whole world. I want all those things now, and I want them with you. I know you're scared, baby, so am I. I'm scared you'll say no, I'm scared you'll walk away from me and I'll lose you forever. I don't think I can handle that Em." Matt stopped and took a deep breath before continuing.

He pulled out a ring box that held a princess cut diamond. He opened the box and noticed the tears in Emily's eyes.

"Emily Rose Lehman, will you marry me?" He asked brushing her hair behind her ears.

Emily leaned forward and kissed him hard, knocking them both to the snow covered ground. They were both laughing as Matt realized she hadn't answered him. He kissed her once before asking, "Is that a yes?"

"Yes. Yes. I will marry you Matt." Emily exclaimed as they kissed again.

Matt flipped them both over before standing and pulling Emily to her feet. He slipped the diamond onto her finger. He lifted her and carried her back to their hotel. Emily tore her jacket off in the lobby as well as Matt's. As soon as they were back in their room, their clothes came off and Matt made good on his promise to warm her up under the covers of that bed. The pair made love late into the night and missed their flight out the next morning. They were forgiven by their boss when they showed up later at the office and announced their engagement.
