Matthilda stood at the banks of a river. She was in Rivendell. She looked down into the depths of the river. She loved him, he meant everything to her, but the thing that hurt her is that she would never mean anything to him, he was a man from the south, she met him with their teens when she travelled to Rivendell as a teenager. She feel in love with him instantly. She knew she would never have him, She sighed 'well this is it' she thought, getting out a pocket knife. She put the steel blade agaist her wrists.
''NO! Matthilda dont'' She heard a male voice cry, she turned around and saw Aragorn running towards her. She stopped and dropped her knife. He ran and embarced her.
''Don't do it'' He whispered.
''Why not?'' Asked Matthilda.
''because I love you'' Aragorn said. They were 2 inches apart, Matthilda looked up at him and closed her eyes as expecting something. He cupped her head and pressed his lips against hers. She felt his soft lips against hers. This was heaven his lips, his skin... He put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. She put her arms around his neck and ran her tongue across his bottom lip, Matthilda broke apart and he looked at her with sorrow in his eyes.
''But you love Arwen dont you?'' She said.
''No, I love you'' Aragorn said.
''but, you were going to marry Arwen'' Said Matthilda.
''Arwen does not love me as much as you do Matthilda, I do not love her as much as I am in love with you'' Said Aragorn. Matthilda looked at him trustingly.
Then they pulled together for another kiss.
