It was one of those nights when mistress Mai receives one of her "so precious guests" as she called them, I don't understand her anymore, who am I kidding I never understood her.
I mean she is blonde with milky skin, fair hair and irresistible chocolate eyes; she is way beautiful and way out of my brother's league.
Why would a woman like her want Joey that bad?.
Well, I don't care.
I shouldn't care.
All of it is past now.
I am no longer her sister in law.
I am just a maid.
She dropped her pencil on the table and stared at the sky.
FLASHBACK
Serenity was busy cleaning the kitchen of their small house, while Joey kicked their house's door making his way through with a happy face.
'Such a dramatic entrance' that was what in the young girl's mind.
"Ren, sister ,I am gettin marry" the blonde said making his usual smile waiting for response front his little sister who kept cleaning.
"Ren, did ya hear me" Joey said while his smile was fading away.
"yes, Joey, and who is the lucky one" Serenity was too exhausted to think about his marriage plus her expectation that he would wed some girl soon, truth to be told he was kind , good looking and had a small profitable business ,so any lovely girl would want to marry him.
"Mai" an even bigger smile was put on his face.
"I am sorry, Joey, but do you mean Mai as, OH MY GOD, Joseph wheeler do you want to marry the whore" she put her both hands on her mouth after bursting with such a word.
"Oh, Ren, you sound a lot like Tristan" he was furious even that he seemed a bit calm.
"besides, it was never Mai 's fault to become a prostitute" he continued yelling at Serenity , anger was all over Joey, his face was red , his hands was shaking and his body was trembling Serenity was sure that she never saw her brother like that before.
Serenity simply gasped declaring that she finally understood how much he loves Mai.
"Okay Joe, I do get it now, so when are two going to say I do" she stated softly.
"Soon, Ren, soon "said Joey walking to his room.

"Ren, are you okay?"Said Miho, the cook, and Serenity's only friend in the huge castle.
"yes, Miho, just staring at the sky" she pushed her lips to break in to a small smile.
"Good, because I heard the sound of the coming carriage guess her guest is at the gates" Miho continued "it must be a very important one, did you see her today?" She finished painting an evil smile on her face.
"No, what makes you ..."Serenity's sentence was soon cut off by the yelling voice of Mai "didn't you here the door, are you dumb too?".
"I'd better go" Serenity said while rushing on the stares, soon she caught a glimpse of Mai.
'Miho was sure right, she is all dressed up in her favourite dress, also her curls and nails are pretty well done, perhaps he is the mayor's son' Serenity though
Serenity opened the door, trying to examine the figure in front of her
He was about 20 years old a bit older than Mai who was only 19, ,chestnut brown hair, baby blue eyes, well built chest, strong body covered with a large black cloak while his black leather pants and blue shirt is barely visible
And perfect lips.
