I'm sorry, I haven't had the chance to call you, so I thought I'd write instead.
I was so sorry to hear about Joyce. I hope that you are all holding up ok.
I know how hard it can be to lose someone you love, and it can feel like you're never going to be happy again without them, but one day you will be able to think of your Mother and smile at the memories. She was a good person and I was fond of her, even though it wasn't always mutual.
If there's anything I can do, you only have to call me. My thoughts are with you.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am about Joyce. She was great, like my sort of foster Mom.
