This is my first fanfic so I am hoping for a lot of constructive comments.

"I'm sorry." Was the last thing Naruto heard as he waved his final goodbye to the village hidden in the leaves.It's for the village. He thought to himself as he walked as calmly as he could towards his doom. He thought it would be his last chance to savor the forests he had come to arrived sooner than he wanted."As I expected!" screeched the Giant Crow standing in the clearing Naruto had just stepped into."Weak!" it said in a loud voice that seemed to fill the entire forest, "cowards! sending a child to its doom with no remorse! You shall be my lunch!!!"Using the only juitsu he knew the 7-year old Naruto set himself on fire as the gargantuan crow dove towards its prey. Stepping back a bit the crow looked at the small child puzzled by what he was doing. Suddenly the child jumped onto the crows leg and latched on with all his might."I'm sorry, but i attached a bomb to me because i don't trust your word that if you get a sacrifice you will leave the village alone."Slamming the leg with the child attached up against a tree the crow successfully knocked out the child and preceded to put out the fire using its wings to create wind."You are not as cowardly as I thought child" it mumbled as it flipped the burnt sacrifice onto its back with its beak, "not as cowardly as i thought..."
