Alright, a quick little one shot. See if you can guess who the characters are. (Hopefully I've made it pretty easy)
61. Fairytale
That girl lives in her own world.
Everyone else says she's oblivious, a dodo.
But not everyone sees what I see, knows what I know.
Unlike anyone else, she lives in her own fairytale.
A fairytale that I am forced to live in with her as well.
A wonderful world that she writes, directs and stars in.
A world where every dog is a beast, every cat a lion.
She sees every tree as a castle, every stick as a sword.
Every plank a bridge, every puddle an ocean.
In it, she is anything.
In it, she is everything.
She is the princess in distress.
She is the savior of her kingdom.
She is the unsung hero.
She is the well-known beggar.
She is the fairy godmother.
Sometimes, she is the evil step-mother, but not often.
Every car is a carriage.
Every bike a horse.
She can ride dragons, ponies, hamsters even.
What am I to her in the backwards life she lives?
Sometimes, I am her unwilling but faithful knight.
I am the king perhaps.
I am the evil bandit.
I am the kind-hearted step-father.
We are sometimes enemies.
We are partners.
We are rulers.
We are peasants.
We quarrel.
We battle.
We win.
Whatever she is, I am the opposite.
Ruler, ruled.
Saved, savior.
Good, evil.
Smart, stupid.
Admired, admirer.
She will be the hero while I am the helpless.
She will be the step-daughter and I the dwarves.
She will be the one fawned on by millions of suitors.
I will be their bitter rival.
She is loved by all her followers.
I am hated by anyone who loves her.
She is the lovely daughter seeking a husband.
I am the father who is forced to give her away.
We live in a fairytale.
We have a once upon a time, but not a happily ever after.
For she is always the princess.
But I am never the prince.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW FOLKS! Read and review!
