"You know, there's a reason why travelers and poets refer to the moon as a woman and a mother," Mukuro said as she pointed to the sky.

Hiei looked up and cocked a brow but he didn't say anything.

"It's comforting to know there's a woman there watching you. They could always have a woman's eyes on them. Watching them, protecting them."

"Well, if that's true then it's no wonder why travelers are so frustrated."

"...It's the lesser of two evils. Apparently it's creepy if a father checks on the child if they have a nightmare but it's such a kindly deed when it's the mother who does that. But then it's stranger for a mother to belt their child than it is to have a father do the same thing. The mother can comfort their child but the father discipline them. Because women are kind, forgiving, and fragile whereas men are the punishers but also the guardians at the same time. What you do will be seen and condemned under the fatherly sun but the moon will be silent and let it melt away as you dream."

"So is that why when you see Orion you should think about you mother?" Plus one point. "Next you'll tell me that when a tree falls in the forest and no one's around to hear it, it doesn't make a sound."

"A tree doesn't look around to see if anyone would hear it fall."

"Tress don't even have eyes so how in the hell are they going to see if anyone would hear it fall." Now that's a consensus. "You want to know the sound of one hand clapping?"

"I could test that theory right now." Plus one point. Some awkward silence. "So what is happiness?"

"It's this warm feeling you get inside kind of like when you're inside something that's warm." Minus one point, maybe."

"It's be frightened if the inside wasn't warm."

"What about the chicken and the egg one?"

"Well, dinosaurs laid eggs before chickens came..."

"There could have been chickens back then."

"Have they ever dug up a giant chicken?"

"...Have they NOT dug up one?"

"So what is lost yet never gained?"

"Other than the obvious?" Okay, just think about that one.

Face palm. I think giving Hiei a point is an order now.

"Well, every time a disaster happens they always say that whatever country gets the disaster has lost its innocence so apparently you can get your innocence back. But that might not fall into..."

"And time is basically a Möbius strip."

"Or maybe a strip of bacon."

"Well, if that's true then what gets wetter as it dries?"

"...Augh." Pwned.

Notes:
...As I am badgered by these pop ups... (Hey, I think that's dedication, going through all this trouble to bring you something stupid like this story... Or maybe it's conceit. One of the two.) It hasn't been long since I wrote this down... And I still don't know the point of this. It was actually originally supposed to be an insightful story since I wrote two for Kurama and Hiei. (I guess All my Love didn't count because it was too weird for everyone. Hey, am I the only one noticing the irony here?) But it ended up being something for laughs. I miss Things We do for Love... I'll just keep making these things until Mukuro gets to at least seven pages... Or seventy seven because she likes that number. Join me in my quest! Yeah... I'll appear again.
