SSA Aaron Hotchner swore under his breath.
"What?" asked the young man sitting next to him in the car they had borrowed from the sheriff.
"The sunroof's stuck open."
Spencer Reid shifted in his seat to see a very wet spot around the center of the back seat that was getting wetter and wetter by the second. Why the car even had a sunroof was beyond him, but it was indeed stuck open.
And he agreed with is supervisor. "Well, crap."
Then, changing tone in a way the rest of the squad had come to associate as simply Reid being Reid, he said, "You know, I read somewhere that if you drive fast enough, it stops the rain from coming in."
"Is that proven fact or theory?" asked Hotchner as he once again unsuccessfully tried to shut the sunroof.
"Theory," said the young genius as he settled into his seat, "but there's miles of empty highway. We could try it."
Author's Note: This was originally part of a collection of really short oneshots, but this was the only one I found decent. No, I have absolutely no idea why a police car would have a sunroof. And they tested this on Mythbusters, but with a convertible, not an open sunroof.
