Lunch Date With the Parents

"Thanks for inviting us to lunch." Jill told Nick and Jackie after everyone had placed their order.

They were at Jackie's favorite deli, actually it was one of her favorite restaurants in all of Vegas.

"No problem." Jackie responded as they found a table.

"The reason we invited you and dad to lunch today is that we wanted to tell you Nora's middle name, we actually were planning on sharing it at Thanksgiving but we wanted Matt and Amy to have their moment so instead of sharing it with you when you asked we just said we hadn't decided yet." Nick explained.

"What is it?" Jill asked excitedly.

"Joelle."

"After Jackie's middle name, what a great idea, and Nora Joelle is adorable." Jill gushed.

"Thank you." Nick and Jackie told her.

"I like it too." Roger said sincerely.

"Thanks."

"I am so excited about meeting both Nora and Paxton and I'm excited to take you and Amy shopping tomorrow." Jill told Jackie.

"I'm not sure I have the energy to keep up with you." Jackie quipped.

"You can rest whenever you need to." Jill told her.

"Thank you." Nick said suddenly as the waitress appeared with their sandwiches.

"You're welcome, where are the kiddos today?" The waitress asked Jackie with a smile, Jackie and the kids came in a lot and the kids loved it because they could always choose what can of pop they wanted.

"They are with their other grandparents for the afternoon." Jackie explained.

"I put in a few extra cookies, free of charge for them, I figured the cookies were large enough for them to share."

"Thank you, you didn't have to do that."

"Well you guys are some of my most frequent customers and I know how much the kids love the cookies. Enjoy."

"Thank you very much."

The waitress, offered one last smile before going back up to the counter.

"This sandwich is delicious." Roger said.

"Yeah, they really do have good food here." Jackie agreed as she stole the pickle off of Nick's plate, which he had very nicely taken off of his sandwich so she could snatch it.

Everyone enjoyed their lunch and Jill was very happy to finally know Nora's middle name, and it was a bonus that it was a name she liked!
