I sat down at the table. Jace was in hospital, Isabelle, Simon and the Lightwoods had vanished. I put my head in my hands and moaned slightly as the baby in my womb kiicked.
Jace and I had been in a cab, going to the Institute, when the driver, swerved into the woods and off a ledge. I was out for two days only to wake up and find Jace in a coma. When I asked the doctor what became of the driver, he gave me a funny look and replied, "You two were walking home, some crazy idiot went into you. He's on trial right now, facing drink and drug driving charges, rape, murder and assault." My eyes widened.
"But I thought Jace and I were in a taxi cab, the driver swerved and went off a ledge. Then I passed out." I paused, "Are you lying sir?" The doctor shook his head.
After several scans, and whatnot, I was discharged. I went to see Jace.
He was lying in a plain white hospital bed, hooked up to a number of machines. I walked over and sat by his bedside and placed my hand on his, rubbing my finger across it every so often.
After a few hours I was told I had to leave by the same doctor I'd seen before.
I walked at the Institute and rang the bell twice, before just walking in. The hall light was off. I frowned slightly and walked over the the elevator, gave it a sharp kick and then pressed the up button. The doors opened and I walked in.
I slumped against the mirror in it and sighed. The ride to the main building was painfully long. Once the thing finally came to a stop I prised the doors open and walked out.
The lights were off here too.
"Isabelle? Alec?" I laughed dryly, "Turn them on!" I shrieked, "Izzy! Alec?" Then I heard a small noise and ran to to source of the sound.
Alec's room light was on.
"Alec how-" I was just about to demand how could he allow Isabelle to play such a evil trick when I seen Magnus sat on his bed, looking... flustered.
