Inspiration

Slow down, you're doing fine.
You can't be everything you want to be before your time.
Although it's so romantic on the borderline tonight, tonight...
Too bad but it's the life you lead.
You're so ahead of yourself that you forgot what you need.
Though you can see when you're wrong, you know.
You can't always see when you're right. You're right.

You've got your passion; you've got your pride.
But don't you know that only fools are satisfied?
Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true.
When will you realize, Vienna waits for you?

After one of the most monumental of wizarding wars took place, what would you expect to happen? That tears would turn to smiles? That screams would turn to cheers? Or that cries for help would turn to sighs of relief? As in; we've done it, we've finally done it.

All of the above, perhaps.

Well that was what Hermione Granger expected to ensue after the Great War of Hogwarts, along with, of course, to-not-see-it-coming-would-have-you-declared-as-an-idiot-in-her-books depressing and emotionally draining matter of grandeur funerals and memorials scattered in her daily planner entries. Meetings and offers and formalities and headaches were also in the works for the "Golden Trio."

How wrong she was with her assumption; or some might call it desperate hope.

She was so naive: thinking that everything would lay itself in order subsequently. That every jagged stone would return to its proper place; polished, coloured and smooth to the touch. That was all she ever wanted out of the hellhole. Was it too much to ask for?

Maybe if she tiptoed across the faded, indefinite line of the here and now she could get to somewhere the wizarding world had pined over for a half century; the said somewhere could be at a standstill: tranquil, serene and low-key.

Sadly, it seemed that the here and now had a much different idea of how things should be run for the next year and a half.

Well fine. Let it be that way – for now. Because, either way, Hermione Granger. Always. Got. What. She. Wanted. She would get her said somewhere eventually, whether the world wanted it or not.

Another oneshot. Lemme know what you think in a review. Pretty please with a cherry on top?
