Quinn had always assumed that she just needed a Mom, since that's all she has and all she's ever really needed. Then when she was in the the second grade she realized during a parent teacher/back to school night that the other children had more than one parent.

Naturally being a curious child, she asked her mom, "Why don't I have a dad?"

Her Mom looking a bit surprised at her daughter's latest question trys to explain, "Well, sweetheart you just don't..."

"What do you mean by that? Doesn't everyone have a mom and dad?"

Looking at her daughter a bit anxiously she decides to tell her the truth of how she was born.

"Truthfully Quinn, before you were born I met a wonderful intelligent beautiful woman at the university where I was teaching and I kind of... sort of... fell in love with her. I eventually found out she wasn't a normal woman by any means but that didn't matter to me. One day after we'd been seeing each other for a few months she told me that we would have to stop. I was of course devastated and thought that I wouldn't be happy after she was gone. Then while we were having our last date I was thinking of how now I'd never have the chance to ever be able to raise her child or have a way to remember her by, and suddenly with that thought you were somehow magically there in a little bassinet setting on the table. I had almost freaked out because a baby had just appeared after I'd had an idle thought about having a child with her. She had smiled wryly at my shocked surprise then calmly explained that she was the goddess Athena, that you were our baby, who was born because we had shared the same thoughts about a child of each others. After that I took you home and never seen her again although sometimes when you achieve something in school I can almost feel as though she's some where feeling extremely proud about it."

"I have two moms?"

"Yep."

"Cool."

So that's that. Hehe I may have fiddled a little bit about the thought birthing a child thingy because Annabeth's dad didn't even know until she was on his doorstep and awkwardness would ensue if that happened with two ladies. And really it more realistic for both to desire a kid or whatever you wanna say. Any way maybe I'll elaborate later... Maybe include her going to camp and meeting Annabeth and the other Wise kids and demigods/halfbloods... Or run in with a monster... Or something... Any way just a one shot for now tell me what y'all think. Also this is not one of the stories I've been working on. ~Huffy
