This is what I think the characters of HoN should have said in the book

Excerpt from Awakened, Chapter 23, Page 254.

'Dragon's eyes were cruel, his voice, as answered the young High Priestess, "You say you know what's it's like to lose a love? How long did you love that human boy? Less than a decade? Anastasia was my mate for more than a century!"

Rephaim saw Zoey flinch, as if his words had physically hurt her, and Stark moved closer to her side, his gaze narrowed on the Sword Master.'

What should have been said:

Zoey puts a hand on Stark's chest as if to tell him to stand down, "Whether I have loved for a decade or a century, it does not mean my love wasn't as strong as yours," Zoey spoke up with a shake of her head, "Dragon, look around you. You were able to see through Neferet before, revenge has made you blind. I know you miss Anastasia and I know you want to do right by her. But getting revenge is always so full of selfish actions, don't you think? You are not trying to exact revenge for her, you are doing it for yourself. Revenge will not bring her back. And I think that if Anastasia were here to see you like this, she would be appalled and horrified. KeEp her memory with love and honor. Not with with anger and vengeance."
