The Tardis lands at a mysterious planet called Sphere. Its inhabitants faeriees . Amy finds this exhilarating and awesomely brilliant. For the doctor he finds it rather disturbing. He has seen faerie folk before and he knows that not all of them are sweet creatures. Some can be deadly and evil beautiful creatures. He advises Amy to be nice to them and not to draw attention to herself. The Doctor scans the tree they are inside with his sonic screwdriver and puts his hand to his face puzzled. The tree they stand inside shows no sign of being alive. Its traces reveal nothing about it is living or growing, yet it is decorated with life. From its trunk to its leaves it is alight in green and moss. This makes absolutely no sense at all. The Doctor watches as Amy is being lead to the refreshments and he runs quickly to her taking the drink out of her hands before it has a chance to touch her lips. The faeriees eyes flash red and then they smile evilly. Amy is confused and taken aback. Doctor,what just happened? Its alright, your fine now. What were they trying to make me drink? Poison, I told you they aren't all sweet little faeriees like fairytales make us to believe. The Doctor and Amy silently went to the Queen of the faeriees. Her name, Danielle Jane Emerson. They both showed her respect by putting their fist over their hearts and bowing lowly. She laughed her high pitched soprano voice and told them there was no need for that. The Doctor straightened up helping Amy to do so too. The Queen greeted them saying their names with concern. What is it you want in my realm Doctor? The Doctor smiled and explained that he was just passing through. He also expressed his concern about their planet, telling her that it was dying. The Queen's face went completely blank and she zoned out. The Doctor stood by her side while she processed this news. She focused back on his face while Amy stood admiring a faeriee twirling above them. The Queen demanded to know why her planet was dying. The Doctor looked puzzled and said he was not sure yet. She went slightly pale and summoned her knight named Demetri. Demetri looked at the Doctor and glared. The Doctor pointed his sonic screwdriver at him and scanned him, only to find that he was dying too. He then turned it on the Queen to find her dying too. He sighed deeply and told them they were dying. The Queen almost started crying but Demetri comforted her kissing her cheek and then her hand. She composed her mask of sorrow and turned to the Doctor. She stood up from her wooden throne decorated in flowers and turned to her subjects the faeriees. She told them to all line up to be scanned by their new friend the Doctor. She sat back down quickly and closed her eyes. The Doctor bowed to Demetri and took Amy's hand,walking towards the line of faeriee. He scaned faerie after faerie, finding the same result. They were all dying, a whole planet all dying and of what? He did not know. It was strange, they were all showing signs of complete organ failure. Their hearts dying out. His scans showed that they were being poisoned by something..but what? Amy looking at each one of their faces was becoming really upset. She couldn't see them as anything but beautiful. She thought they were truly angels. The Doctor knew she would die with them if he let her. He reminded her she had Rory. She smiled softly and nodded. The Doctor finished his scans and went back to Demetri, demanding to be shown everything on this planet. Demetri nodded and sprinkled pixie dust on the Doctor and Amy.
