She woke up every morning and put a smile on her face, it didn't matter it was fake. All that mattered was pleasing those that meant the most to her. The one's she held closes to her heart. Their smiles and laughter where what powered her determination. Their love, even if it was only the love of a friend, how she wished they loved her more then that, powered her will to save all the people she had. She could live off of the hugs and sweet friendly kisses to her cheek.

I'm all dressed up in my finest attitude
Pretending I don't care.
Guess I really messed up by trying to be two,
When only one heart can be there.
Why can't I be just what I am,
And speak my love without any shame?
Why can't she see what I am,
Is a costumed fool trapped in a tragic game?

It was their happiness that made her wake up every morning to put on a charade. To where a mask to conceal all that lay beneath, a power so strong that she knew if she ever lost control of it would either cause great things to happen or a great danger for the world. Yet at the same time it was her happiness that held it all in the balance, they need to protect her from herself and they knew it. It is for this very reason they try to hold off on showing to much affection, for they worry about bruising her already fragile heart.

Charades and pretty lies
They hide what's deep inside me.
Charades do disguise
All the love I keep inside me.
Charades! Can't see me,
But can you feel the real me,
The real me behind my charades?

When she was hurt she ran to them, to anyone of them sometimes she could tell others got jealous of which one she would run to first. Rei usually was the first she ran too, Ami got a little huff over that, when she would run to Lita then Mina would almost blow a gasket. Michiru and Haruka wouldn't do much but give the person that they where jealous of a strong hard look. Usagi would have laughed if the thought that they where jealous didn't want to make her cry, because she loved all of them equally and very passionately. Pluto, Usagi could never get a good reading on the older women but sometimes she could catch small slips here and there.

Oh, please don't mind me,
Performing at my hardest
As I paint upon the air.
You won't find me
Cause it's a portrait of the artist
As a man who isn't there.

It was for these reason that in the end when she could feel her control slipping she pushed them away to go live their own dreams not stopping them from becoming what they truly wanted to be Rei a singer, Lita a famous cook, Ami became a doctor, Mina a model, Haruka went back to her racing job, Michiru does many concerts around the world, and Pluto as always what at the gates of time.

When the time was finally upon her though for her first great change she almost lost herself to Sailor Cosmos but she won out and gave the good fight by herself keeping her loved ones safe. But they came back soon, once they saw her on the news and in the paper, they came back in a rush to protect her and be with her. To tell her they loved her to be with her for all their immortal lives. It was on the last day before the coming of the new area that she spent her time with each of her girls and made love with them, she was beyond tired by the end of the day but it was well worth it. When she woke up after many eons of sleep she realized with a start she would never have to wear a charade of many masks again.
