1. An introduction for you all.

Gavroche had grown up in a world of poverty and disease. He was lucky if he ate food in the evenings and until he found the hollow elephant statue, he was lucky if he could find somewhere to sleep at night. He didn't mind though. He felt free. Nothing could get in his way, not even his abusive parents. He had his own little gang of friends that he lived with and he always visited the students in the evenings.

Camille grew up in a world, just like Gavroche's except she only saw poverty through the thin pane of glass that separated her from the rest of the world. Her father, Inspector Javert, was very strict when it came to going outside. She was never allowed out into the neighbourhood with her friends. The only times she ever went outside was when she was going to school or when her father let her go around on patrols with him.

You're probably thinking, "these two are both completely different! There's no way they could ever be together!" Well this story may well prove that anything is possible.
