"Your sister is dead!" The words cut like a knife. Anna was dead? No, she couldn't be. Elsa sank onto the ice, and the storm around them froze. - Anna shivered. There was no way she could make it across the lake in time- until the blizzard was gone. She looked up, across the lae, and- could it be? Kristoff was running towards her. "Kristoff?" she whispered, beginning to stumble over to him again. But next to her was Hans, and Elsa- who he was about to kill! "Elsa?" She gave one last look to Kristoff, and started stumbling over to Elsa. Hans raised his sword just as Anna lifted her hand. - "No!" Elsa heard Anna's voice, and then felt a shockwave. She looked up to see her sister was frozen solid. "ANNA!" She couldn't have done this. If only Anna had just stayed away... She hugged Anna, falling onto her. Kristoff looked on in shock. "Anna..." He felt his knees give as he fell on the frozen ground, staring up at the solid ice. He couldn't look away. Olaf's face fell. If Kristoff had been a little faster... Hans looked to the castle window, to the people watching. He put on a sad face and walked to Elsa, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Queen Elsa... I-" "DON'T touch me!" she screamed, lashing out at him. "Don't you DARE touch me! You lied to her! You lied to me! You lied to all the good people of Arendelle!" Tears streamed down her cheeks. "She's dead! You could have saved her!" "She's dead because of you!" Hans shouted back, and Elsa recoiled. "She's dead because of you and your powers! You froze her heart. I tried to save her, but I was too late. She was too far gone." He looked down at the ground. "At least... we got to say our... our marriage vows..." He sank to his knees, sobbing. Of course, Elsa would believe him. She was distraught, and she already felt guilty. Elsa looked at her hands. "Anna..." She looked out over the fjord, to the North Mountain. If she could just go back, everyone else would be safe from her, forever. The snow began to fall once again as she began to run. Kristoff stood and walked to Anna. She'd married Hans? He'd thought, if he could at least save her... But now, she was gone. Only a beautiful ice statue. He leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "I love you, Anna," before kissing her frozen cheek. Then he straightened up and walked towards the forest, Sven and Olaf in tow. After a few moments, Hans stood and looked to the people in the castle. "Anna will have a funeral. She will be buried with her mother and father, the late King and Queen. As for Queen Elsa..." he added, looking off to the mountain. "I will take her place as Arendelle's ruler." The people cheered. And Hans grinned.
