I see past the mask that you wear.
I know the real you that is hidden.
If I'd noticed it sooner we may have been,
But now it is strictly forbidden.

What we thought was important now's gone.
All that's left is the sorrow it made.
Now I know what I'd wished all along,
Was to make you all mine, instead.

Now all we can do is live with this,
These decisions we made in haste.
How I wish I had realized what happened,
When our happy ending went to waste.

I thought you were strong to do this,
We both thought it was what was right.
But why did we have to end it?
We didn't even put up a fight.

Those last words you spoke to me,
I still hold deep in my heart.
And I wonder what kind of person I'd be,
If someone else had been given your part.

[Yaaaaaaay it's a ship neutral poem! If you ship Fakir and Duck, great! (so do I) If you ship Mytho and Tutu, congrats, it works for that too! I can't tell you who I had in mind at the time to be honest, it started out in Fakir's perspective, but then but then the rest I had Mytho in mind. But whatever, the last stanza works for both of them, regardless of ship. but i don't really care, just enjoy the poem.]
