Chapter 1
"JAYDEN!" Jayden awoke with a start, falling on the floor before getting up to a defensive stance. In one fluid motion, he grabbed his wooden sword and knocked whoever woke him up to the floor. Too late, he realized it was Emily."Emily! I am so sorry. Here, let me help you."
"Thanks, Jay, but don't worry. It was my fault. I keep forgetting that you are very…um…sophisticated."
"Sophisticated, hmm?" replied Jayden.
"Yeah, um…" Emily started blushing furiously. "you should take that as a compliment. It's just that you are very alert and defensive."
"Um…okay," They both trailed off, embarrassed.
"So, Jayden," said Emily, eager to break the uncomfortable silence, "Ji, gave us a day off, and the rest of us are going to Rainbow's End. You wanna join us, and this time no power discs?"
"Sure, Em. What time is it anyway?"
"It is…7:45am."
"You woke me up this early? You must really love that amusement park. Given Mike's standards, I bet he's regretting bringing you there in the first place."
"Oh, come on, Jayden!" whined Emily, giving him her cute puppy eyes, "It is my first and favorite amusement park! And technically, I need you up so you can help me wake Mike up. I swear, he sleeps like his life depends on it."
"I believe you. Come on, I think I just heard Kevin walk through the door. Maybe, he can also help us wake Mike up."
"Okay. KEVIN!" Jayden laughed as Emily ran out of his room, calling out Kevin's name so loud, he thought that she wouldn't need his or Kevin's help with waking up Mike. He shook his head and followed Emily.
