Chapter 1
"Why does she not like me?"
It's been a question that I have been wondering for a while, why Rosalie hated me, and after tonights big blowout i wanted something more. Yes they had given me some answers like how I have a choice and making the wrong one, and how I'm endangering them but to me that's not good enough. Something tells me there's something more. Edward is tense, he knows and I've got a weird feeling just by looking at him that he's going to tell me.
"I'll tell you later."
"No now."
We pull into Charlie's, but neither of us get out. Charlie peeks out the curtain and I know I'm running out of time so I open the door.
"Tonight."
I tell him before walking into the house. Charlie doesn't ask why I lingered in the car and I go straight to my room. Once I close the door Edward is on the bed sitting like a statue.
"Ok what if I told you that I wasn't the first vampire to live with Carlisle or even the second for that matter. That the order that we told you was a lie. Soon after Carlisle was made and left the Volturi he had met a vampire gypsy girl named Scarlett, now Scarlett was different, and I know your thinking powers but we never found any. But as her and Carlisle became close and she showed him things that probably saved his life, well his soul. Then with her guidance he turned Esme, Esme loved Scarlett, like a daughter, like she loves all of us, then came Gabriel he and Scarlett had known each other before and had gotten separated, Carlisle and Esme welcomed him with no problem. Then it happened like we told you me, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper."
I bit my lip, I didn't understand why the big secret and why everyone was acting strange today. I nodded my head for him to go on.
"Scarlett, Rosalie, and Alice were as close as close could get, they did everything together, and Esme love having the three of them. Gabriel was our brother and we never questioned his past, his or Scarlett's the only person who knew was Carlisle. Till this day we still don't know. But anyway, when we moved to Forks the first time and made the treaty, part of it was that Scarlett and Gabriel had to leave. Carlisle tried to make them understand that Scarlett and Gabe were just like us but they wouldn't hear of it. And we all were going to leave in the morning but when we woke up they were gone. Rosalie was the most heart broken and she swore she would never care for anyone who ever came into the family again. We never though it would last this long."
Edward smiled a little smile the kind he got when he thought of something humorous. But I couldn't help but to wonder why the tribe wouldn't let Scarlett and Gabriel live in Forks, I made a mental note to ask Jacob. Edward's face changed and he stood up.
"What what is it."
"There's a reason I told you this."
