She loved him. It was so obvious to Zeniba that Sen truly did care for Haku. The way she had said his name, holding onto the white dragon as if her life depended on it echoed through her mind. The way she had run to nurse his wounds, near tears and in a panic. How she held on to him and even avoided the baby brat of her obnoxious sister.
Now, she was headed this way, this Sen girl. She loved him too much to let go. For him, she would do anything. What could Zeniba do but help her? Silently, she sent her lantern out to greet Sen and waited to help the poor lovesick child.
