"It s quiet. That can t be a good sign." Nami was in her and robins room reading and absently straining her ears to hear the going ons on the upper deck. "I better go make sure the idiots didn t do anything." She sighed and got up and climbed the stairs. "Nami-swaaaan~ I made you a delicious treat!" she smiled "Thank you sanji, do you know where everyone is?" "Usopp,robin-chan,marimo, and chopper are off looking around the island!" "Thanks sanji-kun!" Nami went out into the sunshine and stretched. "It s such a pretty day, I want to go harvest some oranges." She walked over and started admiring her small grove, taking in the familiar smell of oranges. She started humming while working.

Luffy was hiding. Last night he dreamed of Ace again, every time he closed his eyes all he could see was Ace s blood all over his hands. He decided to lay under Nami s orange plants and think. He trusted his nakama with his life, but couldn t burden them with this. Besides, he has to be strong for them. With his hat over his face he was so relaxed he didn t realize Nami come over and start harvesting. He started humming along with her. Nami turned to look at the island and tripped over something. "Oi!" She jumped and looked around and saw her captain laying under her oranges. "What re you doing here luffy?!" was going to hit him untill she looked at him clearly "I wanted to be alone. So I figured I d come here. It s quiet." Nami looked at him then sighed and crawled in beside him. "It s unlike you to not go exploring." "I didn t feel like it this morning." Nami knew something was bothering her usually loud captain. She reached her hand out slowly and grabbed his hand and squeezed it. Luffy stared at his orange haired navigator. She d opened up to him about arlong before, maybe he should talk to her. He moved his hat back over his eyes and whispered "I had a dream about Ace again last night. He was all bloody, and just laying there. It s been two years. I m going to kick the bastards ass that killed him." Nami felt her chest tighten at the thought. "It must have been horrible. Sanji said he died in Luffy s arms" she thought to herself.
"Luffy, I m sorry. You could tell he loved you so much. You were his baby brother, he wanted to protect you no matter what." Luffy whispered to himself, "it s Sabo all over again." "Sabo?" Nami thought to herself. She tightened her grip on his hand "you re not alone luffy. You have all of us still. Ace will always be with you." Luffy looked up at her, and sat up. He took in Nami, from her bare feet to the top of her orange head. He leaned in close and put his forehead against hers. Nami could feel her cheeks grow warm. "He s so close. Why is my heart pounding so much?" Luffy lightly pressed his lips to hers then pulled back. "Thanks Nami." Nami flushed than stretched out beside him on the ground. "Any time luffy."
