Sora sat down on a bench in Radiant Garden's town square and sighed. He had been running around with Donald and Goofy all day getting rid of the few remaining Heartless that still insisted on being here. Everywhere else was quiet now and the King hadn't asked for his help in a few months so he was content here. Kairi had insisted on coming here and Riku was learning how to control his inner darkness from Cloud who had apparently mastered the art forever ago. "Sora?" Donald questioned him. "Do you want to take a break for a while? Goofy and I can patrol for a while."

Sora grinned and nodded. "Sure, Donald! Thanks a lot!"

Goofy nodded. "You could use a break. You've saved the worlds twice now."

"Hey, Sora!" Sora turned around and saw Kairi running towards him.

Goofy laughed. "We'll leave you two alone!" With that Donald and Goofy left to finish patrolling for Heartless.

Kairi sat down next to Sora on the bench and smiled at him. "I haven't seen you in a few days, Sora. Everything alright?"

Sora grinned and nodded. "Yah, everything's great! I've just been really busy with the Heartless and all."

"Not enough time to visit me in the castle I guess, hmm?" Kairi giggled.

Sora laughed and shook his head. "I could have but…I've been thinking a lot lately…"

"You? Thinking? That's not a good sign!" Kairi teased.

"Cut it out Kairi." Sora gave her a playful shove. "I've been thinking about Riku…"

Kairi put a hand on his shoulder. "Well? Are you going to do it?"

Sora felt a blush invade his face and he shrugged. "I don't know…I mean…what if he's…"

Kairi shook her head. "Don't start thinking like that!" She pulled Sora off the bench and started dragging him towards the cliff where Riku and Cloud practiced. "Come on, let's go right now!"

Sora took a moment to comprehend what she was saying before he shook his head. "Kairi!" He complained but she just giggled and kept dragging him.

"Concentrate, Riku." Cloud commanded as Riku tried the technique once again. "If you don't focus you won't be able to control it."

"I'm trying!" Riku snapped as he tried to focus all of his dark energy into the tip of his keyblade, Way to Dawn. He felt a rush of energy and released a dark ray through the end of the blade only to have it turn into a Dark Ball which Cloud immediately vanquished. Riku collapsed onto one knee.

"If you keep relying on the darkness Meleficent gave you this is what will keep happening." Cloud helped Riku to his feat.

"Yah, I know…" Riku sighed and stretched his aching muscles. "I need a break…"

Cloud nodded. "I understand…" He looked up and saw Sora and Kairi running towards them. "Perfect timing…" He muttered and started walking away from Riku.

"Hey, Cloud!" Kairi waved at him and he flipped his hair in response before walking away from the group. "Hey, Riku! How's training going?" Kairi smiled at him.

"It's harder that I though…Why is Sora blushing?" Riku raised an eyebrow at his spiky haired friend.

Kairi giggled when Sora refused to respond. "Tell him, Sora."

"Tell me what? Is something-"

"Willyougooutwithme?" Sora asked in a rush.

Riku was silent for a moment as Sora's face got even redder then it already was. "Huh?" Sora looked down at his feet shyly and Kairi laughed. "Sora, you're going to have to slow down. I can't understand a word you're saying."

Kairi's laughter increased in volume and Sora kept his eyes on his feet. "Will you…" He said slowly. "Will you…er…uh…well…what I mean is…"

"Come on, Riku!" Kairi interjected. "I know you want to date Sora so just say yes!"

"Kairi!" Sora complained and gave her a weird look and Riku chuckled. "What? Why are you both laughing! It's not funny, guys!"

Riku leaned down and gave Sora a quick kiss on the lips. "It's about time." He grinned at his now boyfriend and Kairi gasped.

"Oh, no! Riku's smiling! It must be the apocalypse!"
