Kurt sighed as he walked down the snowy sidewalk. He looked down and watched as his fashionable boots were covered in the cold, wet slush, not even caring that his feet were freezing. He didn't know what was wrong with him. Only two days were left before Christmas Eve, and not even the brightly decorated store fronts or the tall festive tree standing in the square could cheer him up.

Maybe it was that he would be spending his first Christmas without his dad. He and Blaine had decided to visit Ohio for New Year's, rather than Christmas, to avoid crowds on both days. They had spent the last couple Christmas's in Ohio, and all the New Year's in New York. They had wanted a change of scenery.

Kurt continued walking, with his head down, to his empty apartment. Blaine wouldn't come home from his last day of work before his vacation for a few more hours.

Pulling his hands from the warmth of his pockets, Kurt unlocked the door leading up to their tiny apartment. He climbed the five flights of stairs, and walked slowly through the gray hallway to their door.

Unlocking that door, he smelled something wonderful drifting from the kitchen. "Blaine! I thought you weren't going to be home till later!"

Blaine came out of the kitchen wearing his "Kiss the Cook" apron, making Kurt giggle. "They let me off early, there wasn't much work left to do."

The huge grin that lit up Kurt's face was definitely worth it. "Come on, I made dinner, and dessert's in the oven."

They sat and ate dinner, laughing and talking until they finished.

"That was amazing. I think you should cook more often." Kurt laughed when Blaine blushed.

"Kurt, before we start dessert, I want to say something." Blaine slid his chair beside Kurt and took his hand. "Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I have loved you with everything in my heart. I might have been oblivious, but it was there. From Teenage Dream to Teenage Dream, you have been my everything. I was so stupid for making that mistake, and I will never stop trying to make up for that." Blaine pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and got on one knee in front of Kurt. "These last few years have been amazing, and I want to spend the rest of my years with you." The look on Kurt's face was unforgettable, his hands covered his mouth and a few tears leaked out of his eyes. "Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, will you make me the happiest man on earth, and marry me?"

Kurt lowered his hands and smiled so big he thought his lips would explode. "Yes! Yes a million times!" He got down on his knees as well to be at the same level as his boyfriend, no, fiancé, Kurt thought to himself, and pulled Blaine into a passionate kiss.

When they pulled away, Blaine slid the ring on Kurt's ring finger. It was a beautiful silver band with small diamonds surrounding a light blue stone.

"I tried to match your eyes," Blaine said, pulling them both up. "But nothing can match your beauty."

"It's perfect. You're perfect." Kurt replied and pulled Blaine in for another kiss.
