Sakura/Kakashi
Sakura growled as she slowly pushed through the pain. Kakashi was slumped over her, his blood slowing dripping on her face cooling her heated skin. She wailed as she was flung back to the earth by gravity. It wasn't supposed to be like this.
Why?

Why?
After all they had been through together; this was where it was going to end for them. She shakily lifted her hand as she moved Kakashi's messy hair away from her eyes. She turned her head to the side to get away from the constant dripping of blood carelessly staining her once creamy cheek. It had been a difficult S ranked mission, however her and Kakashi teamed together had all the strength in the world … or so they thought.
She found it hard to believe that they had been killed by a cliché ambush. That Sakura Haruno excellent medic nin, apprentice to the Sannin Tsunade had been unable to win and now was unable to save her husband. Kakashi Hatake almost 14 years her senior, her light, her laughter, her hope; was now mercilessly dead, strewn on top of her his head on her chest. Her heart felt like it had been carved out, everything was gone.

It was all gone, cruelly snatched away from her waiting hands. She didn't even know how long she lay there her world clutched painfully at her chest. His eyes bore into hers when she looked up. The sky was a beautiful silver grey exactly mirroring her thoughts.
Eventually her eyes blurred as exhaustion and death started to set in. she was scared, a gut ranching fear. The kind of fear you feel right before you fall when you don't know where you're going or how you're going to land. He was going to be there though, waiting to wrap her in his arms and murmur comforting words to calm her jittering insides.
She looked into his eyes as she felt her chakra leave her, draining her making her feel limp. She smiled as she smelled Kakashi's scent, a musky forest and soap smell. Right at that moment she knew that she would make it as long as he was there.
Ahhh it feels so good to finally have some time to do some writing. Exams have been killing me, thankfully though i just finished my Japanese exam so after this it should be a breeze.
