A Redwall ballad- Mossflower
O Tsarmina was an evil wildcat
Barbaric and crafty
Enslaved goodbeasts, robbed woodlanders
She was really quite nasty
Martin the Warrior and Gonff mousethief
Intelligent and true
Though imprisoned by Tsarmina in castle Kotir
Out of captivity they flew
Council of Resistance in Mossflower
Corim for short
Might be able to take down Tsarmina's army
Or so they thought
But alas! Poor Corim
Was no match for Tsarmina's troops
So Martin, Gonff and Dinny the mole
Went of in search for hope
To reach the mount of Salamandastron
And seek the badger lord
With his help and provision of aid
May the battle be fought
Three travelers then meet with old Log-a-log
And together they brave
Vermin, swans, toads and crabs
In the hope that Mossflower be saved
At Salamandastron,
A battle with searats
A boat is won, slaves are freed and
Travelers return to fight the cat
Kotir floods
Vermin run in panic
Martin appears
Kills Tsarmina the barbaric
Mossflower is free!
Free from evil rule
Free from tyranny
Free to lead their lives
Freed of slavery
I just got a random inspiration to do ballads on every single one of the Redwall books. Please review. I know the rhythm is pretty screwed and the words don't always rhyme. Its my first attempt, and constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'm pretty hopeless at poetry, but please review anyway.:)
Thanks!
