Disclaimer-If I had a million dollars I'd buy myself Friends. But I've got $130 in my account. Do the math.

Just Blame It On The Weatherman

Rachel woke up. Just yesterday, Ross had left with Monica, Chandler, and Joey for London. For Ross' wedding with Emily.

Rolling over on her bed, she saw that, outside the window, it was raining.

It's just one more day

No one said there would be rain again

Oh, blame it on myself

Yeah, I'll blame it on the weatherman

Rachel made up her hair and make-up, and got dressed.

"I'm going out for a while, Phoebe," Rachel said as she passed the pregnant woman on the couch. "Page me if anything goes wrong, okay?"

"Okay," Phoebe said, picking up the remote.

When Rachel opened the door, she felt strange that no one was with her. No Monica, no Phoebe, not even Ross.

Get away for a while

Here I am, out on my own again

Oh, blame it on myself

Yeah, I'll blame it on the weatherman

Ross.

'Why he have to go and fall in love with that British chimpy?' Rachel thought as she hailed a cab. 'Was it because of me?'

She propped up her chin and looked out the window. 'Ross…I miss you.'

Standing on the shore

Calling out your name

I was here before

I could see your face

Only clouds will see

Tears are in my eyes

Empty like my heart

Why'd you say good-bye?

The rain seemed to drum against the cab, echoing her heart. "Too late, too late," it seemed to be saying. "Your fault, your fault."

Rachel rushed outside the cab, only stopping to pay the driver, and hurried into Bloomingdale's.

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

Wouldn't you know it? Ross and Rachel's favorite song, I Shall Be There by Bewitched was blaring over the speakers inside Bloomingdale's, even louder than the pouring rain.

Alone, I can hear

Hear our song playing for me again

Oh, blame it on myself

Oh, no, just blame it on the weatherman

Rachel cursed and tried to ignore the song replaying in her mind again and again as she made her purchases. But every other thought was of Ross and Emily. Ross and Emily. Ross and Emily.

'It should be Ross and Rachel!' Rachel thought vehemently as she paid for the clothes.

Standing on the shore

Calling out your name

I was here before

I could see your face

Only clouds will see

Tears are in my eyes

Empty like my heart

Why'd you say good-bye?

When she stepped outside, she saw that it was raining harder.

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

She barely paid attention to Phoebe's 'Finding His Flaws' act back home. Phoebe's trying to make her remember that bad stuff was only making her remember the good stuff.

Maybe it's too late

Maybe it's too late to try again

"Hey, Pheebs?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you know where the duck food is?"

"Yeah, in the cabinet under the sink, why?

"'Cause I'm going to London," Rachel said, emerging from her room.

Maybe I can pray

Maybe I can't wait

And maybe I can't blame the weatherman

She rushed out the door, barely listening to Phoebe's protests. Before Phoebe shut the door, she was down the stairs and rushing towards the airport. Never mind the rain, she was going to make Ross hers.

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

The rain goes on (on and on again)

Oh, blame it on the weatherman

So, did you like it? It's my first Friends fic. Heck, it's my first non-Anime fic! I'm gonna work on a Phoebe/Joey soon, but I need more ideas.
