Min Xiao smiled at the way Madeline curled up against him and at the delicate way her hoodie fell over her pale skin.
He couldn't help but stare at her and wonder how he'd been lucky enough to meet her as he watched her beautiful blond hair fall down her back, for once let out of its pigtails, and adored her personality that always shown through as just her.
She was dorky in the best and most adorable kind of way, and she was overall fun to be around.
Madeline could easily beat him at a game of ice hockey though he really wasn't experienced enough to present a decent challenge for her, but he was getting there.
She adored maple syrup as if it were the blood that ran through her veins though she easily was supportive of any culture.
Watching her eat the meals that he cooked for her at times, left him more than happy as she truly enjoyed them with that syrup tucked far away for another breakfast together when she would make him pancakes that would make Min unbelievably happy and his mouth water before he could eat the delicious breakfast food.
Right now though, she cuddled closer to him, content to spend every last second she could with him, lost in this moment as she fell more and more asleep.
Days of paperwork could wait as Min would rather stay close to her and enjoy these lazy days when the rest of the world became irrelevant, and she became his shining star all over again.
His grin only grew at the sight of her, so small across his not much taller frame, as she leaned against him.
Min's hands brushed back blond hair softly as if he were truly feeling it for the first time and listened to her steady breaths and the beautiful beating of her heart that fell perfectly in tune with all that he ever wanted.
He stared at her, watching as her purple eyes fluttered briefly into sight before vanishing again and at the way that she curved up into him, lost in the delicate folds of nearly being asleep.
Min smiled as he stared at the most beautiful woman that he'd ever met, both inside and out.
