Disclaimer! I don't own nothing. DIE GRAMMAR NAZI'S! Hope you enjoy another story for Colby.

Colby walked around the school yard, mumbling spells to herself (as she often did) when she spotted those loathsome Gryffindors huddled around like the conniving pack of dogs they are chanting something stupid.

"Snivelus Greasy!" they all shouted, "Snivelus Greasy!" Colby rolled her eyes and kept walking until she realized Snivelus was their nickname for…

"Severus!" she gasped and ran over to the other students. Sure enough, she found her best friend, Severus Snape, hanging upside-down in mid-air. She didn't have too much time to react so she picked up a stone and threw it into the mob of Gryffindors. They all stopped to look at her, even the boy with the wand causing her friend distress; James Potter. As cute, smart, and talented he was…he was such a douchbag! His gaze broke from the boy in the air and onto the Slytherin girl who was spoiling his fun, causing Severus to drop.

"Knock it off, Potter," Colby challenged. She wasn't a fighter but neither was James. They stared at each other for a while until James looked back to the rest of his house.

"Come on," he announced, "We've got better things to do than hang around Slytherin's all day." They all walked away in a giant mess of people; sulking because there wasn't a fight.

"Go knit a sweater or something!" Colby muttered to herself. She heard a groan in pain and found Severus lying on the ground. He was taller than her but so much thinner; anyone could snap him like a twig. She knelt down next to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you okay, Severus?" she asked gently. He rolled over to face her and sat up, painfully.

"He is such an asshole!" he shouted, "What on earth does Lily see in him!" Colby just shook her head and thought 'She only likes him because he's popular!' but she knew better than to say that out loud because of Severus' crush…no…OBSESSION over her! It's hard for Colby because she has liked Severus for a long time and when she tried she tried to get to know him better, they became best friends; now she's stuck in the god damn friend zone!

"Don't let it get to you; that's what he wants," she said, "Come on, or we'll be late and rumors will spread like wildfire." The blood rushed to his face as he thought of the things that the others would come up with; she saw and simply smiled.

"I'm through with her!" Severus shouted into the Slytherin common room; causing Colby's head to snap up from the book she was reading on the sofa.

"What happened?" Colby asked, patting the seat next to her. He sat down and looked at her with tear filled eyes.

"She laughed at me, Colby," he whispered, "He pulled a prank and she laughed! I'm sick of it!" She felt nothing but sympathy for her friend and hugged him. Nothing unusual; she hugged him often, as he did to her. However, this time there was a feeling in between them that they have both noticed before but never thought about it. Love. She loved him; he only laughed, cried, or smiled when he was with her. And he loved her; she always listened to him complain about Lily and, no matter how annoying it got, never said so. They looked into each other's eyes and smiled.

"Severus, I-" But she never got to finish what she was going to say because she was interrupted by his lips crashing into hers. At first, she was surprised and almost pulled away, but that would ruin everything. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck as he snaked his around her waist, and they shared their first, passionate kiss.
