And he looks down at his hands and can see that they're covered in blood and a wave of panic floods through him because he knows this isn't how she would want things to be. And isn't she the reason he's doing this?
And so he puts down his weapon because it's the least he can do and his enemy smiles with a glint in his eye and says that he could have been great. And there is suddenly a brilliant flash of green light and he hopes to god that it is finally over and that she is there on the other side with her emerald eyes and her heart warming smile.
And if she is, then he thinks he should have given up a long time ago.
