Title: Tell Me.

Summary: "Cat ate your tongue, Stark?" Tony nodded, not really paying attention to her words and lied down beside her, an arm around her shoulders so he could hug her sideways. "What's wrong?" "I need to confess something- and I don't know who to tell it to, and my head is just exploding and I feel like I am going insane." he admitted already hugging her slightly more tightly.

Tony didn't know why he was doing what he was doing, it just felt right. He parked the car in front of the building and, once in, knocked on the door of the Birdies' nest. He didn't wait for a 'come in' or someone to come and open the door for him, the man just walked in and looked around.

He was looking for one person in particular and he knew Clint wasn't there because he had just finished talking with him on the phone, he stayed quiet for a moment and then heard someone move in one of the rooms. So he walked there and knocked again before going in. Kate's room was quite particular, it reminded him of her, really. It looks quite tidy at first but it's really an organized mess. The teen was on the bed and she turned her head to look at him before moving to the side to make space for him.

"Cat ate your tongue, Stark?" Tony nodded, not really paying attention to her words and lied down beside her, an arm around her shoulders so he could hug her sideways. "What's wrong?"

"I need to confess something- and I don't know who to tell it to, and my head is just exploding and I feel like I am going insane." he admitted already hugging her slightly more tightly.

Kate nodded, her face turning serious, and looked up at him ready to comfort him no matter what kind of secret he was going to reveal.

"On the last fight us Avengers had I was fighting this alien thing and I look down for a moment, just a second, a fraction I didn't even look to see I just had to turn down for a moment so I wouldn't be hit. And my brain took too much time to process the image and I looked down again and I saw it more clearly.. a kid, Kate. An innocent kid was standing there." Tony didn't know if he could go on without his voice breaking, "And there was one of those aliens too and I tried to fly there and reach him but.. I mean, why didn't I see him the first time? I am the reason a kid died because too busy defending myself."

Tony sobbed, once, and then his eyes filled up with tears and he started crying, hugging Kate even more tightly. He didn't even know why he told her of all people but it felt right, he wanted to tell someone and Kate was the right person.
