In a house, in a room, a few blocks away there is this boy, his name is Calvin and it's moving day. He's emptied out his room and his dresser there's only one lone box left, a box that many years ago a small stuffed tiger was put in and forgotten. Now the fifteen-year-old Calvin is looking through the box deciding what to throw away.

"Calvin we don't have all day get down here now!"

"Give me a minute I have one more box to go through."

"Hurry it up then." His mom shouted this and quiet. Calvin opened the box and found toys, a fake laser gun, and the water pistol he'd always used when playing cowboys and Indians. At the very bottom he found something he thought he had lost many years ago,

"Hobbes."

He said this not expecting an answer but he got one any way.

"That's me, I thought I'd be in that box forever. I thought that maybe you had forgotten me." The tiger said

Calvin hugged Hobbes "I would never forget you, I thought you were lost or that the monster under the bed had finally gotten you."

He sat there for a while just holding the stuffed tiger only it wasn't stuffed with the finding of Hobbes his imagination had been sparked back in to life, His childhood memories came rushing back to him until,

"Calvin I thought I told you to hurry up. What are you doing up here anyway it's been hours," She spotted him hugging Hobbes, but to her it was only a grimy old stuffed animal. "Where did you find that old ratty thing?" His mother grabbed the tiger and yanked it out of Calvin's grasp. "I had hoped that I would never see this thing again. Well I'll not have you turning back into the hyper little thing you were a while ago so. I'm going to have to dispose or this once and for all." She walked off Calvin got up and chased but she was faster than him.

"HOBBES!!!!"

"CALVIN!!!! DON'T LET HER DO THIS!"

His mother opened the trash bin and dropped Hobbes in. "I don't ever want to see it again." She said looking at Calvin.

"Yes ma'am."

She went to the car and left Calvin standing there all-alone, he opened the trash bin and took Hobbes out. He hugged him.

"I'm glad I found you my old friend."

"So am I, So am I."

With that Calvin stuffed Hobbes in his bag and walked to the car. He had found his oldest and dearest friend, he swore then and there that he would never lose him again.
